I pitch the non screw top tins. Some of those are downright exasperating to open without dumping pellets everwhichaway. As for the screw tops I hoard them too. Maybe someday I’ll figure out what to do with em.

Could be a big seller if both accurate and has a robust pumping mechanism. I almost popped for the Aspen but glad I waited for enough reviews.

Like others I really like the FX D-1 because it is easy to use. It comes with various attachments but I simply place it on the bench or deck rail. That way it matters not when I switch to another air gun. It isn’t expensive, is reliable, is rechargeable and the long lasting battery has automatic...
Ten plus years ago I had never even heard of Ballistol. It still is not sold at retail in these parts. But then I learned the German military used it in two world wars and maybe even treated wounds with it. There was the story told by someone I trust that a friend returned home after extensive...
Thanks for sharing this detailed and logical post. I’m so old school I try my best to avoid wiping the lens with any chemical, even a modern micro denier lens cleaner. I use a small soft brush to whisk away trash, lint, etc. But I still want to learn and there likely are some of my Waytoomany...
I think FP-10 has a very high flash point of about 365 degrees Fahrenheit. If Ballistol, which I love for cleaning, has a low flash point, springer shooters may be inviting detonation.

My wife for 65 years can give me a little grief about many things but airguns she does not! She never liked my firearms which I have given a good many away to kids and grans, the ones that know which end the bullet exits. She sees me spending hours shooting targets from our house deck having fun...
So seal leaks don’t correlate to high max rating. So seals must be the same in both. Are better seals on the horizon? Leaking PCP’s is a problem that should get manufacturers doing something about it.

The Wolverine R is regulated. I am told it replaced an unregulated Wolverine that Daystate claimed had a valve so efficient no regulator was needed. Do you think the technology goal is with more efficient valves or will better regulators be the answer?
Thanks to all above. I don’t have a Disco or Chief. Did (do) these PCP’s tend to not leak air? Has air seal technology not improved since they were introduced? While I prefer target shooting in the 2000 to 3000 psi range, is there any leak prevention advantage to be gained by having a 4500...
There is convincing evidence that lower fill pressures in PCP’s helps seals to last longer and prevents or delays air leaks. My being old I’m not afraid to ask a stupid question. If I want to fill only to 2000 to 3000 psi is it an advantage to have a 4350 psi maximum fill reservoir vs say a 3200...
This rifle if it passes muster is at the top of my wants list. But I’m not preordering anything until it (not just a prototype) gets reviewed. I got burned once with the Synergis Elite. I liked some of its features, but as for accuracy I have shotguns that can compete with it.

Strange as it sounds, that has happened. Some of these scopes have sharp thin reticles that can be useful for short distance target shooting. But don’t put it on a springer. Stuff in my scope trash drawer is waytoomany. I keep thinking someday I may disassemble one, but why?
