Hello PapaT. Do you mean you bought an Ascent? If so and if you can find the time/inspiration could you let us know what you think of it?

Hey non3, I've looked up the pinty airguns. They look nice! Still.. I am a sucker for the 'autonomy' of pumper air guns.

Hello Adrian, Thanks for your message. I am incredible curious, especially if it is somewhat more maintenance free. But also for the extra features. The fact of a modern 'pump'-air-gun is just appealing to me. I will not get one however, so far I will be using my aspen seneca (and an Sheridan)...

OK, can you please let me know if fixxing the check valve has resolved it? About a month ago I changed the o-rings of my check valve. It is quite 'easy' in the sense that the pump can remain in one piece.

Since I had to repair a new leak in the Air Venturi Aspen Seneca, I thought I should add new info and the pictures to this forum thread. Note: The manuals have the wrong o-ring diameter documented! The manuals have been provided in an earlier post in this thread and is updated with this info...

Thank you for the write up. I have not yet touched the hammer spring adjustment. Maybe if I can use a speed meter for testing. I do recognize the oil misting out of the barrel, as I too over oil the pump; probably better than not enough oil I guess.

Have you also re-pressurised? If not, can you actually notice any difference? I expect (but am not sure) that without pressurizing: More pumps are needed from totally empty to reach the minimum firing pressure. With max pressure (200bar) you can fire more pellets than with the pre-pressure in...

I've uploaded the diagrams a few posts before this one, check out the link below. To be honest, I found the repair of these rings incredible annoying due to the reassembly: the outer o-rings of the brass part have to pass holes of the tube, and they tend to get shaved there and thus leak. I...

Are you sure it is not the pre-spring tube that is leaking? Mine did, and the effect was that the pressure dropped, but the pump did not lock up. Unfortunately, I cannot find the pictures that I made of that repair. I think if the check valve leaks, it results in some kind of pressure imbalance...

A little information on the pre-charge fill probe. As mentioned in a previous post, the normal fill probe does not fit (diameter is too large). I bought a standard fill probe for a rifle brand I can't remember. The diameter of this probe is 6.6mm. Unfortunately the o-rings were too far apart to...

Thank you. Since I was helped by a lot of other people posting info, I thought I give some back. Hopefully it is useful for somebody else :)

Please see attached two assembly instruction manuals for the Air Venturi Aspen Seneca. Note that the 'AssemblyForSenecaAspen_small.pdf' file has been compressed, otherwise it was too big to upload (it might have affected the quality). As I mentioned in my original post; One document I found on...

I would be happy to help, but I am by no means a professional rifle repair guy. To which part do you refer exactly if you say 'poppet' ? Can you post a picture to clarify ? I'll post (or edit the original post) with some more information I have. Maybe that also helps. edit: I've looked it up...

    Others Seneca Aspen Fixed!

well, I made a tiny error. I wanted to add to this discussion my information on repairing an Air Venturi Aspen Seneca. Instead I added to a different one. Please see the forum discussion with the link below. You might find it usefull...

The pliers are ground to smaller points, to be used as a tool to open the two rings with '4 holes in a circle'. For the black ring (see 4 pictures down). this brass (?) part is also hard to screw off. The middle rod can be pulled out ( it is the high pressure part of the pump) but not all...

    PCP Seneca Aspen

Hi everybody, Last holiday I repaired my Air Venturi Aspen Seneca. This was the first time I took an air rifle apart for repair. It was fun to do, but it took me a lot of patience and (too much) time. I learned a lot from it, next time it certainly would go faster. I have taken photo's when...
