I just picked up a box of the NSA .22 slugs yesterday, I'll try some today or tomorrow. 20 grains sounds on the light side for a .22 slug, most of the JSB and H&N pellets I use are in the 18 grain range.

I had a $20 blue anodized filter from Amazon and the thing leaked badly as well. Teflon tape on the fitting threads didn't help. The GX filter is a good one, cost is just over $100.

Thankfully, full auto BB gun quality and technology is leaps and bounds better today than half a century ago.
