Thanks, Scriv. I know a fellow who really nerds out with his LabRadar. He's a very technical type that dives into all the science behind it so he understands all the ins and outs.
I know the LabRadar is tops, bur what are the differences between the Athlon and Garmin (and FX's latest version for that matter)? Is there a good comparison somewhere?
I have a ShootingChrony with a light kit my first and now backup) and also a Competition Electronics DLX with the light kit...
Thank you for this interesting thread. My story seems a little anemic compared to others, but I regret buying a Beeman AR2078 for my daughter. It's too heavy and what's more, the seals failed right after the return period. 🤬
I have a set of replacement seals, but I haven't found my round toit...
Thanks for the detail. Much appreciated. I can see where you are coming from. I would agree that this electronic action is not quick enough to be a good training tool for shooters at your level in your circumstances.
I will check but for purposes of this discussion, 12 to 15 fpe. Mostly head shots at close range. Any size rabbits that can eat garden veggies are considered targets.
I'm just worried about overpenetration.
To me, this is refreshing! I have seen accuracy guarantees from powderburner rifle brands such as Weatherby and Savange and many of the premium brands.
In my view, it's much better for airgunners to have manufacturers give accuracy guarantees instead of unrealistic velocity promises.
However...
No. Peep sights are only limited to your own vision and to some extent the available light (more is better). If you never used them before, the size of the aperture (the hole in the rear peep sight) can vary. Very small apertures are used for 10 m target shooting. Larger apertures are used for...
Would you guys recommend pointed .22 pellets for rabbits with in 20 yards? I don't want to over penetrate and go into neighbors' yard, but it's a battle keeping the bunnies out of the garden. I'm planning to use the said Walther Terrus. It shoots HN pointed pellets, HN FTTs, and GTO domes...
DMoneyTT, you seem to have valid concerns. Can you describe a bit more precisely how much time between trigger pull and first shot? Is there a semi-auto mode? Is the delay the same as full-auto?
Perhaps this gun is simply not suitable for your intended purpose, but for someone else, defending...
Depends. There are two Williams sights that generally work for airguns. The FP-AG and FP-GR. They work with the dovetail scope rails found on most airguns. Some may require some fitting to the stock. I belive the GR will sit a bit lower and give you a better chance at working with the existing...
That'll do it. Consider a Williams Peep sight. They are light enough that they usually don't walk back with recoil, you have a longer sight radius, you can focus on the front sight, and you get a more consistent cheek weld.
