What Happened To The New York Airgun Ban?

Thank goodness. These bills made no sense to me, I am glad that someone with common sense prevailed. Also thank you to Ed Schultz and the Airgun Sporting Association.

Break Barrel What lubricant do you use in your spring gun

So I got my 97 apart and found that about an inch away from one of the spring ends that a coil had a crack in it that was almost broken off. I had shot it on a regular basis last season so that spring at least for me did not last long. I bought the gun used from AOA and the salesperson I talked...

What's your next air rifle purchase (2026)?

Would consider Weihrauch HW100X and Gen 3 marauder in .177

Others HW97 arrived today. Good job ups.

What a nice looking stock. I know how you feel, sometimes I just have to stop and look at mine.

Bore Shot- What Do You See?

Isn’t that the truth, completely agree. But on the other hand, I wouldn’t not use mine.

    PCP HW 100 X - New

I like that, glad to see that model got some updates that would make it more popular here in the states. I told myself that I don’t need anymore guns but if HAM does a test on one, I will be in trouble. That’s assuming Weihrauch will offer it in .177 and maybe even .20 caliber.

    Garmin Xero C1 Pro Chronograph

I have been seeing these used at the sight in range before a Field Target match starts and the owners all say they like them.

Others My scope related rant for the day!

Sorry this happened to you and that the scope was purchased by someone who didn’t have a clue as to what they had. Reminds me of that old adage: can’t fix stupid!

Field Target PA Cup 2025 FT location

If it is in the same place that it has been for other years then it is back towards the camping and cabin area across from the trap fields. On the same road as the range and exhibitors, less than five minutes away. There is an open area, then a trail going into a wooded section on the same side...

Break Barrel What lubricant do you use in your spring gun

Thanks for the reply and advice. As far as the spring compressor goes, I just happened to see one for sale from Optics Planet about seven years ago at a heavily discounted price. As my wife would say, it was so cheap that I had to buy it. Pretty sure it was being discontinued, I could have never...

Break Barrel What lubricant do you use in your spring gun

I was wondering what kinds or types of lube that shooters use in their spring guns for the spring and piston seal. Like everything else I am sure that people have a secret sauce that they swear by that works well for them. On a side note, I am getting ready to possibly take my 97 apart and I...

Spring/Piston Pro Sport mk1 zero wanders all over the place, its going in the skip.

Just curious if this gun is your first springer that you will try to use in competitions. I myself have been competing in FT for many years but only using PCP’s, never spring guns. I bought a used HW 97 about 3 years ago just to play around with. Late in the season last year I decided to set it...

Spring/Piston Pro Sport mk1 zero wanders all over the place, its going in the skip.

I doubt this is it because it sounds like you haven’t shot it enough but something to also keep in mind for the future is the tightness of the stock screws. Including scope mounts and rings. Best way is to figure out what all the screws should be torqued to and use a torque wrench to check them...

Hard Air Magazine’s Exclusive KalibrGun Owner Interview

Very interesting article. I was impressed with the Snipe II and we (Steve and I) will continue to do some more testing with it. The after sales service commitment sounded good also.

Doug Rogers’ HW97 Field Target Competition Gun

I thought the same thing when I first started and my first Hawke scope was limited to 14x, this was when the max FT was 14x. Scope did okay but I was never really happy with it. As I have gotten older I found that scopes with a large objective worked better as far as giving me a brighter...
