As always I am late to the party. I was lucky to get one of the last Akelas in .22. I would have bought a .177 if they were still available. Wish I could find one still. Same thing with the P-Pup. Late as usual. So far, just for ease of carry, weight and length, it's the P-Pup. It weighs nothing, even scoped. It's like 28 inches long in total, shoots in 880s with the JSB's and gets Lotta shots before it falls of the regulator. Our weather has been so screwed up, constant rain and storms, I have not had opportunity to shoot the Akela or the ELF. And, I am waiting on the scopes for them as well. The Beeman regulated Commodors are light, but kinda bulky, and with the added length of the needed moderators they are long. But they are definitely powerful and accurate. The fact that they use very common magazines is another huge plus. I probably have 12 or so mags that work perfectly in them. So. Until I actually get the Akela and the elf tested, it's the P-Pup for sure.
You might laugh at my choices, but for several years I have had a nasty habit of buying nice scopes I find at yard sales, gun shops and flea markets. And I test them out on different P/B's and my air rifles, seeing what fits what best. I picked up a Monstrum Banshee lpvo 1x20x24 that had been mounted on a 10/22, for 50 bucks. Loved it. So I got those en route for the ELF and the Akela. My shooting distance isn't but 45 is yards, so anything larger would be useless, to me anyway. I have a couple of Vortex's in the top self of my safe, but I just prefere the LPVO's on my Pups. 1 exception, I am trying out a Triton StarStrike gen 2, 5-20 night vision scope on my Beeman pup, while the wife's has another LVPO from monstrumAs always I am late to the party. I am waiting for a Vector Veyron 10x44 to arrive before I can shoot it. It will be here Tuesday if it makes it through the Memphis postal system on time. The stock finish should be cured enough by then also.
What scopes are you waiting on?
Maybe the October pinty wave will have a pup for you to join the revolution. As always I am late to the party. I was lucky to get one of the last Akelas in .22. I would have bought a .177 if they were still available. Wish I could find one still. Same thing with the P-Pup. Late as usual.

The P-Pup is definitely the quietest by far, without using moderators on the Beeman, Elf, and Akela. I have Buckrails silence system and moderators on both Beeman pups, it gets rid of that thud noise they make when firing and does quiet them down to backyard friendly. I have RedCorns brand new can on my Elf-W, but due to weather here and my arthritis, no chance to shoot it yet. The Akela is like the P-Pup, built in silencer. I haven't even gotten into that can of worms yet, and prolly won't. I haven't gotten the chance to shoot it yet either for same reason as the Elf.Now that your scopes have arrived, which is your favorite? Which is the quietest?
His shorter 6 baffle, or is it still a 7 baffle? The P-Pup is definitely the quietest by far, without using moderators on the Beeman, Elf, and Akela. I am only about three hours north of you. Do I need to come down and test them for you, or at least admire your collection? The P-Pup is definitely the quietest by far, without using moderators on the Beeman, Elf, and Akela. Had a chance to try the Elf and the Akela? It's all good, hopefully by tomorrow I be able to get out and warm the Akela and the ELF up pretty good
Not the first try yet. This nasty weather...and since you live relatively close, I know you familiar with it, has killed all thoughts. The only thing I have done is buy another nice trip pod, and another saddle, ohhh, and order some slugs and pellets from Pyramyd, so I can at least claim to be ready.i do have the scopes laser bore sited, if that counts. So at least I have made it that far.Had a chance to try the Elf and the Akela?
I am sure you will get to it shortly. I managed to do a little testing with the Gamo Arrow, between storms and rain showers. Not the first try yet. My biggest trouble, is I was in an accident 18 years ago now. I have a titanium cage encircling my lower spine, and fusions and rods the rest of the way up, including my neck. On top of this, I have a dose of arthritis that granny's rheumastis medicine can barely touch. If the weatherman even mentions rain somewhere within a 100 miles, I am pretty much bedridden. It gets me a day before, and maybe 2 days after rains clear to start getting back to normal. It's surprising what muscles being tied into knots can do to a body.I am sure you will get to it shortly. After only four magazines I am loving it. Very quiet, not that it matters as I live outside the city limits, but I like quiet. It will probably do a great job on pests around the house. I really want a Williams peep site for it and am researching them now.And???. How you liking the Arrow?
The local weather guesser says starting Friday we will have a dry spell. Hopefully you will also.My biggest trouble, is I was in an accident 18 years ago now. Knew you would like it. That's why I have the 2 versions in .22. The standard version has been my Lazer from day 1. It was the demon that drug me into the rabbit hole. The Classic, I couldn't hit crap till I started the 18 grain pellets. Then it began to shine. After only four magazines I am loving it.
