What'cha doing air gun related today?

Dont know what happened, but maybe salvaged that scope?

Took it in to pulled it off and put of yhe mount then for whatever reason wiped it all off and put it all back together and mounted it on the gun. . shot 10m to zero up well 3 cards of 5 shots looked pretty darn good. So went 50yards. ( ran out of pellets for now).

Off and on shot and held good rest of the day .. not brk ghost level but for springer package scope and walmart cphp .177 it'll do ..

10m ( i corrected the tad off right after)
All shots @4x

I guess put the "G" back on it for its good.

Dont know how much this holds true , but there's been a few times a scope got iffy and just pull it all down clean it all up and remount it back from scratch and got back more solid results instead thinking its bad . Being a package scope confidants never positive anyway.🥴

(Edit)
Some clickaroonies and let it set out on the bench a hour or so now its warming up and muggy.

Ya, dont get yesterday's big swing of windage.. not looking here today so far..

Finally getting to go outside & shoot my R9 today. All my screws had to be tightened again. Can I put a light thread lock on these screws?
Medium blue loctite will do fine .. only red in a extreme case.. i had to use blue new - several months till the screw hole wood hardeded up / compressed from all the times I've tightened then ether grom just loosing or pulling off the stock for whatever reason .

Anyeay normal practice is a bit of medium hold blue.

I do mine by feel when i tighten them bit heres some specs

If it helps any ( from nced)

Dont confuse the inch lbs for foot lbs or you'll bust the wood or strip screws.. 😉

At my private range doing some testing and a little EBR shooting (only at 72 yards ! 🙂) Always nice with a couple of hours out there 🙂🎯

Shooting the prototype barrel ! 🙃🙂

Looks good..

I'm liking 75y for .177 myself. Little more challenging then 50 but retains enugh energy then at 100y. With my springers it's got to all be just right a day for decent 100y tries. . That extra 25 yards on a .177 can really show ( for me anyways . I use 7.9g pellets ).

Thanks so much for sharing that. Sadly, I got rained out today but I’ll loctite those screws and have them ready for next time. Thanks again for your help.

Plinked black walnuts from 25 to 102 yards with the Pathfinder XR sending CPHPs. Emphasis on “first round” hits, if I miss I move to a different range. The smack sound on the black walnuts is satisfying. Am currently eyeing the Red squirrels wreaking havoc in my barn with deadly intent.

I worked on and shot my Origin today. I took the old scope off, tightened up the three barrel screws different scope on it, cleaned it, turned the hammer up to “mad dog” to try and take a little bite out of the wind. I put about 300 JSB 18’s through it at 25 and 50 yards. IMG_1556.jpegIMG_1558.jpegIMG_1557.jpeg

Same in my area having nice days but 12+ mph winds and the gusts.. even at 10m or 50' the target rack was wiggling or swaying a 1/2 inch worth in a gust ..lol. my range I have mostly a croswind being it faves north to south+/-.
