Break Barrel What ur favorite caliber for a HW30?

.20 might be a good fit for the 30. My fav small cal is .22. But I feel the hw30 might be a lil low powered for .22. But the .20 might fly flatter while still providing more pop

The HW30s shoot around 6 fpe. IMO, the .177 is the ideal caliber for this unless you like watching the larger ones fly through the air.

I've had all 3 over the years. Not a lot of options for .20cal cocerning pellets. I'd probably pic .22cal over .20cal.

I think the low power really suits it to .177, unless you don't want to fumble with tiny pellets.

In this rifle , I like .177, have few of these rifles .177 in all. Quit possibly get .20 in the future.

Well since you asked, low powered (sub12) .22 springers make no sense to me. Lobbing golfballs is about the equivalent (i hate golf) I'd go.177 all the way! .20 is probably good too, but with all the .177 ammo options....no contest. If u are shooting under 30Y it may be fine but that holdover....

I agree with the low energy. Really only a .177 for that gun. Now the HW50 might handle it much better. But I've only seen the HW50 and not shot it.
Also maybe someone else knows?
But isn't the .20 cal a little harder to find?

Not sure if you are kidding or not. I assume it’s higher because of so much less demand.

Demand is much less with the 20 cal.
