I’ve been wanting to do this for a while.
I watched AirTac huntings recent video about it and made it happen. What Rolfe doesn’t refer to in the set up is slope. What is your experience with scope tape ranges?

Ok I don’t by think I explained my question correctly.
Is the difference in slope ( that changes what you would dial) accounted for by the shooter’s experience?

I watched their other scope tape tutorial. Apparently slope isn’t accounted for in Strelok.
( I’m using Chairgun)

Slope isn’t mentioned in the tutorial. The only thing I heard said in another video was to hold under when shooting 30° or above.

Here’s a video that sheds some light on what I’m talking about.

@Beanflip
For hunting with the various scopes I own, I have no need for scope tape unless I’m using a Sightron scope. I really don’t use that scope. Plus I don’t click, I use holds and I prefer FFP scopes. Maybe specify what type of hunting you’re doing. I like to spot-and-stalk and post up mostly. Pesting calls for different methods and measures. Either way I prefer FFP scopes and I don’t tend to shoot air rifles beyond 50 yards at animals.

I love them, have been using them on my 22lr for a while and they are great. Will be setting my Paradigm up with them as well. Makes dialing the scope super easy and very quick.

@Beanflip I don't dial, I hold. Unless I'm shooting virtually vertically, I haven't noticed much need to hold because I'm usually at or towards the base of a tree shooting up a squirrel high up towards the canopy. It also depends up the gun I'm shooting. I have improved my chances by practicing shooting pine cones at various angles and distances. After getting comfortable doing so, shooting squirrels is not so difficult.

If you're interested in obtaining angular numbers for calculations for pellet drop, this tool may be of use to you. Vector Optics ACD Angle Indicating Mount Ring, 30mm/ 1in Tube, 6063-T6, Matte, w/ Bubble Level, Black, SCACD-11

It can be purchased here for $20
