Hi All,
I've had my Umarex Notos for about 2 1/2 weeks and really like it as my first PCP. I have a question concerning the pumping to get it back to around 3000 PSI using an Air Venturi G9 hand pump (taking breaks to make sure pump stays cool). But first, here's the rundown:
First pump: got it up to 3000 fair well (had no previous knowledge of how well it should go). I cocked the lever as per suggestions of making sure the reservoir would fill correctly. Shot until Notos was at about 1000 PSI -- basically still in the green on the Noto's gauge.
Second pump: tried to re-fill back from 1000 PSI but could only get to around 2000 PSI +/- on the gauges. I figured why not just try to just shoot. Shot until Notos was back down to about 1000 PSI.
Third pump: tried to refill and the gauges wouldn't go above about 1000 PSI. Degassed the pump. Tried again. Same result. Did this two more times. I felt like the pump/Notos was stopping at a pressure "wall". Frustrated, I then degassed the Notos. Refilled back up to 3000 just fine. Shot until the Notos was just above 1000 PSI.
Fourth pump: tried to refill and only gets to around 2000 PSI. I can tell when this happens now. It feels like the hand pump is hitting a pressure "wall". I degassed the Notos and it refilled to 3000 PSI just fine.
It just occurred to me today that the Notos' regulator is set to 1900 PSI, which is about where I can't get past on a refill from 1000 PSI.
I'm not sure where to go from here. I don't want to degas the Notos each time to refill to 3000 PSI (and doesn't seem like I should have to).
Any ideas on what to do or where to go from here?
Thanks,
Scott
