Others To quick disconnect or not

How many of you have bought a piece of air gun equipment that came with quick disconnect just to fail at some point? I have on 2 bi-pods by 2 different makers so I have to believe. they fail by designs. On both bi-pods I have replaced the QR and has made them much sturdier. I wish the manufacturer would stop offering them of at least give a choice.

well I assume when you say QR you mean quick release?
what make have you been getting? some of the cheap stuff is just that its not a bargain or a great deal.
I like the quick release and will say some folks adust them to tight and thats not good you should not need a mountain of force to lock them down. we are not dealing with large bolts.
the old machanic says to the you mechanic remember big hands little bolts : )

Maybe they don't work well is using them on 340 fpe pcp? To me $110.00 isn't cheap

but they are used on firearms so that why I ask.

My Accu-Tac SR5 came with a quick disconnect (on my Ghost), and I don't put it back in the case with it on. It goes on for filling, off for pesting usually, on for bench... off and on a fair bit. Only bipod I have and i wouldn't want one without that feature now that i have it, lol! I very much doubt much out there is as good quality as an Accu-Tac though I know they have one rated for the 50bmg on their website so that one should hold up to anything!

not breaking, just become loose, the reason why firearms tolerate QR better is: A hard recoil tends to “snap” the mount rather than flex it—so if the QD is tight, it stays tight. Pcps causes QD to creep because of their longer duration pressure.

That's also the difference $110. to $400. MDT Ckye-Pod Gen2 Double Pull is top dog. Too rich for me,lol

I leave my Accu-Tac SR5 on my Taipan, only removed it for situations. I haven’t noticed anything. But if that is a no no then I will start taking it off.

To me, the more you remove it and put it back on the more chance of wear.
