The flow of new 2025 product announcements from Umarex USA seems unstoppable. Now there’s the new Arrax multishot breakbarrel air rifle!
At a Street Price of just $142.99, the Arrax is majoring on value. It’s significantly cheaper than the underlever-cocking, magazine-feed Synergis Elite that was released by the company earlier this year.
However it still includes a 4 x 32 scope and Picatinny rings, in addition to a set of open front and rear sights.
Internally, there’s a gas ram powerplant that provides the obligatory 1,000 FPS Muzzle Velocity in .22 caliber. In .177, you can make that 1,200 FPS with lead pellets.
As you would expect, this is a long air rifle. With a 20.75-Inch barrel, the overall length rounds-out at 47 Inches. Weight is approximately 6 Lbs 6 Oz.
The magazine capacity is 10 shots in either caliber and it uses an auto-advancing system to set a new pellet in battery each time after the gun is cocked. The automatic safety is activated by the same cocking action.
Additional magazines will be available too. It’s useful to have a supply of these pre-loaded and on-hand to maximize the productivity (and fun!) of a shooting session with a mulit-shot air rifle.
Pyramyd explains that the gas piston power plant that offers less recoil, consistent operation across a wide range of temperatures, and less noise and vibration.
In addition, it is not susceptible to spring fatigue and can be left cocked for longer without damage than a standard metal spring piston. This can be a useful benefit for a “back door gun” that needs to be stored safely yet ready for immediate home defense against squirrels and such pesky critters!
There’s also a black, ambidextrous synthetic stock and rubber buttpad.
The new Arrax air rifle should be available soon, check-out the Pyramyd website for details.
