Greetings form STUD Loading Solutions!

We are very excited that we now have another great channel to connect with our customers via Hard Air Magazine.

About STUD - For those FX owners that are not familiar with STUD, we are the designers and manufacturers of the STUD Loading System. Thousands of these systems have been sold worldwide with our customers enjoying the benefit of not hand loading their magazines one pellet at a time.

Here is a link to our loading systems for those of you that would like to see it in action. https://youtu.be/bidiQMO2KQg

Building on the momentum of our Loader/Feeder system, we endeavored to address the complaints we were hearing relative to the FX factory magazines not feeding correctly, hard to handle lids and pellets not being centered. From this, the STUD line of replacement magazines were developed.

All our mags feature a roller bearing design that tracks the rounds precisely to the final position, which we call the STUD pocket. From this position each round is centered to the barrel within several thousands of an inch. Here is a link to see what makes the STUD mag so unique: https://youtu.be/x_U-133bMTg

STUD now has magazines to replace all the factory magazines in most of theFX line, all are in stock and are available in the USA at these locations:

Here is a question for you: Will these magazines feed slugs in the same fashion?

I ask the question for a reason. Years ago, I owned an automatic, hopper-style, .38 caliber reloader. The cases, primers, and bullets were poured into the hoppers. As the reloader cycled, each component dropped in proper orientation, without intervention of the operator. Seems to me, this same scenario could be developed for airgun slugs, but I've yet to see one.

Good Day Alan,

For clarification purposes, I believe you are asking if our "Feeders" will sort slugs as they do pellets.

The answer is they will not sort in our Feeders, because a typical slug has a straight outside diameter. A pellet however, pellet has a larger "skirt" that is about .005" larger than the head of the pellet. We use this size difference between the head and the skirt to essentially create a go/no go gauge.

Great question and I hope this helps!
