Thursday September 12 was the first day of the Pyramyd Cup 2024. Over 200 airgun shooters were here, the weather was hot and sunny. That’s Match Director Tyler Patner in our heading photograph above.
Everyone had a great time. That was in spite of the wind that seemed to mysteriously arise as soon as everyone was ready to shoot!
So let’s look at some of the action…
The morning of the first day saw the first relay of the 100 Yard Benchrest competition.

Of course there was a very wide variety of air rifles to be seen down the firing line. Here’s just a variety.

Eydin Hansen was happy to be shooting his 30 caliber Umarex Gauntlet (above). While below we see a gentleman campaigning with another 30 cal Gauntlet, for which he had made his own wood stock. It was a great job, too!

Below, Luke Sowinski was shooting is Skout Epoch.

It was no surprise to see several shooters with Karma Red Pandas aiming for success at 100 Yards. Below we see Ted Bier.

Below, Margaret Ding was shooting one as well. As the Product Marketing Director for Leapers, it was no surprise that she had paired the Red Panda with the latest Integrix scope from Leapers.

HAM PCP tester Doug Rogers was shooting a 303 caliber Daystate Wolverine in only his second 100 Yard competition. He enjoyed it!

While the Red Wolf was a more common Daystate model to be seen, as shown by this gentleman below.

John Solpietro from Crosman took a different approach. He looks confident in his Benjamin Gunnar, below.

Of course, once the 30-minute shooting period has expired, all the competitors rushed downrange to look at their targets and compare their chances to others.

Later in the day, the official results started to be posted. Below we see the Skout team in deep concentration…

There’s a lot more to see at the Pyramyd Cup 2024. HAM will bring you more tomorrow!
