Hey everyone, so I sighted in this morning and shot a bit. Decided to shoot again in the afternoon and I’m getting a 3/4” drop in POI, almost a full mill. It’s 70 degrees in the morning and 95 in the afternoon which is a big shift. Should I try another scope? This will greatly affect my score.

I haven't seen it with all of my scopes, but temperature definitely destroys the usefulness of my pinty scope. Too long in the sun/heat and I start shooting the dirt, despite my best efforts.

Yeah, I have a brand new scope and I’m going to set it up tomorrow. I’ll do the same test. Might have to send the current one into Athlon. I don’t think it is my gun.

If the gun also has irons, you can test with that. At some point one of the many smarter than me people may also chime in with better answers/thoughts.
