Others Picked up a Sniper XR

Today I purchased a Sniper XR unregulated .22
from AoA.

It was in the used section which just yesterday they added it with few other items. I was having a hard time but deciding between it and a .25 Revere that was also just added both were set at less than $700

What pushed me towards the Sniper was that I don’t have another Airgun like it where the Revere would be an upgrade/replacement to my .25 Airacuda standard. That seemed like a waste since it’s never given me a moment of trouble.

The Sniper is “like new inbox” condition the description said that it was new old stock.

I’m thinking around Christmas time. I might get a DNT thermal for it. Not sure yet, want something for ratting eventually. Meanwhile, it will just have a UTG.

I’m very hopeful that it lives up to its name as there will be plenty of that in its future.

@FL22 Wow. Nice find! I didn’t know they made Sniper XRs unregulated. We are both talking about the Brocock Bantam Sniper XR, correct? Either way, the Bantam Sniper is one of my favorite air rifles. $700 seems like a good price.

@Ezana4CE thanks. I think that the “Bantam” was dropped after some changes, but I welcome anyone with more knowledge about that to chime in.

My criteria for selecting this rifle included a review from HAM although that is the regulated version.

AOA still has a 25 caliber for sale in the same condition used but like new in the box.

I saw the ad as I was perusing the used section myself… You got a heck of deal on a fine PCP. You can add a regulator at some future date if you feel the need…

Good for you! Nice deal. I have been looking for a bone stock talonp to show up in the classifieds because they want over $700 for a new one, and there is no way I'm paying that for an underpowered, unregulated, single shot that is going to be kept in a truck. Finding a Sniper XR for less money shows how overpriced AirForce guns are.

My wife informed me that my “toy” has arrived and has been placed in my playroom lol.

Earlier I checked notification for delivery and the box looks to be in good shape from the UPS photo.

I was a little concerned as they had lost track of it temporarily.

Can’t wait to get home tomorrow and check it out.

Just an fyi, AoA has listed another .22 in the same condition “LNIB”. However it’s $100 more than what mine was listed for, still a good deal I’m sure.

Yeah it does look longer in the one pic! Lol. I can't believe their still selling them unregulated!? Do you by chance know how old it is @FL22 ?

If I ever get a .177 pcp this is the one I'd want. But regulated
