I got an email today about this hydraulic slug press. It's said to work with Corbin dies. Swages .177 - .50 slugs. For $3900 you can get in on a pre-order for a NSA x Western Big Horn slug press.

I got the same email, my guess price wise is $4500.00. What do you think?

Here's a HAM write-up on the Big Horn Press

How many tins of pellets or slugs can i buy for almost five grand including dies? A lot! If i divide 5000 dollars by $25.00 average thats 200 tins. Definitely for the hardcore enthusiast of our expensive sport!

I have my corbin set up to control the weights and quality of my ammo. You can REALLY fine tune your slugs if you want to. Heck you can get crazy and shoot a 30 grain slug..... then look at 30.1, 30.2, 30.3 etc and get really dialed in with your specific rifle.

Lead is honestly quite cheap, I tend to stick with the Corbin lead as it seems softer than the NSA lead. I know NSA claims that they use pure lead, but if I make some slugs the EXACT weight as some NSA .... there are NSA slugs that refuse to load into certian rifles, but the Corbin lead has no issues.

I think I have around 50 lbs of lead coil and wire sitting in my work room. And with 10 lbs of lead per coil that is a TON of slugs!
