@Alan Mating season is approaching if they haven’t started yet they’ll get bigger than that on some and they will have a white swollen area around the anus that is also prominent beneath the skin. It’s called the Cowper’s gland if I’m not mistaken. I think it is a part of the penis.

The Cowper’s gland secretes a rather bland, clear liquid which nullifies any leftover uric acid in the urethra. Technically, it is not part of the penis, but an adjunct. All mammals have some form of them.
