EVOL Newish system for external reg adjustment *upgrade

Installed Tom’s brilliant system for external regulator adjustments. Very well engineered and simple (aren’t those THE best upgrades)! This system only adds one O-ring to the platform.


This was a fairly straight forward install. Do use Krytox lube on the aluminum to Ti tube threads (trust me), it will prevent a headache! The system performs very good. Of course, once system is installed and pressured up, if you need to decrease reg pressure, first degas at the 5K burst disk, make your adjustment with a bit more than you think is needed, pressure up and take the pressure up via the 3/16” adjuster as needed while under pressure. I adjusted reg up to 2,240 psi to sling 50.15s at the customer’s desired 900 fps. All looks great after some hammer spring adjustments to match reg.

Since you tune and work on many great airguns, I was wondering how you think the Paradigm compares to others? Do you believe that there is a more rugged, simpler, better made, commercially available, hunting airgun available? It seems to be the most set and forget, robust one, that I could find, but I don't have the experience you do. I just wish a lightweight carbon fiber hunting stock was offered, over the blocky (though good-looking) mostly target style stock that it has. Just curious what you think, thanks!

Is there a better more robust PCP? No!

This American made gun is very very good! That’s not to say that I’ve never seen an Evol that didn’t perform awesome. A gun is only as good as its bore! Some didn’t have great bores that I’ve come across unfortunately. Companies are at the mercy of barrel makers in this regard!

AAA is now utilizing SubMOA barrels. This is a move to take the bull by the horns! The PCP is very much as good as it gets when considering the entire package. The triggers are a very good unit. The regs are made in house, function precisely, utilize very good / well thought out seal materials and they refresh fast! All is put together with tight tolerances and AAA PCPs can truly last lifetimes!

In November of 2024, I tried to buy a .30 AAA Evol with 1:40 ish SubMOA barrel; basically, I wanted one made exactly like what Claudio used to capture the 2024 EBR title. I was told that they were not available for purchase and would not be available for the near future I then moved on.

The .30 Paradigm is a great PCP. I hope I’ve answered your question.

Thankyou, you did. I just wanted a second opinion before I get another one. I really want a .25 with a SubMOA barrel. Probably going to be the last premium airgun I buy at this point, but I will play with the cheapies forever.
