There’s a new version of the full/semi-auto Western Airguns Sidewinder PCP air rifle available. It’s called the Sidewinder S Compact.
As you would expect from the name, the Sidewinder S Compact is basically a version of the HAM Gold Award-winning Sidewinder, but in a more compact configuration. The smaller size is obtained by using a shorter barrel, 0dB “airgun use only” silencer and smaller HPA bottle.
Like the full size models, the Sidewinder S Compact is available in .22 caliber, .25 and .30 cals. It also accepts interchangeable magazines and includes variable power setting and selective-fire capability.
As knowledgeable airgunners will expect, the shorter barrel and smaller HPA bottle lead to somewhat reduced shot count and power. (Physics is physics!). However this is balanced by the improved handling and portability of the S Compact that many hunters – in particular – will value highly.

But wait, there’s more news about the Western Airguns Sidewinder platform! Now there’s a pair of specially-designed wood stocks available.
These stocks are specially designed and manufactured by master airgun stock maker Steve Corcoran. There’s a choice of Walnut and green laminate. They fit all Western Airguns Sidewinder models, including the new S Compact.
Simply remove the standard “AR” pistol grip and the wood stock slips into place. The price is $399.99.
Additional magazines are also now available for the Western Airguns Sidewinder. These “two-part” mags are CNC-machined from solid steel to very precise tolerances. Again, they fit the regular and Compact models. The price is $149.00.
