Let’s Take A First Look At The Epic Airguns TWO Walnut

Today we’re taking a first look at the Epic Airguns TWO Walnut. So let me put my cards on the table immediately…

To me, this is one of the most beautiful air rifles I have ever had the privilege to handle!

Of course, looks alone are not everything, so we’ll be subjecting the TWO to a comprehensive HAM test review in future. But for now, I’m smitten!

Epic Airguns TWO Walnut

Previously, I have seen Epic Airguns at the annual IWA OutdoorClassics show in Germany. There’s another report here. They definitely looked like impressive air rifles and the Epic staff that I talked to have been both knowledgeable and helpful.

As I’ve covered previously, the TWO was actually the first model from Epic. It preceded their bullpup offering called – duuuhhh – the ONE. Yeah, I’m still confused but let’s concentrate on this gorgeous airgun…

The Epic Airguns TWO Walnut is available in multiple versions, with different barrel lengths. There’s also a choice of bottle and tube HPA supplies. Plus, there’s versions with a collapsible metal stock/chassis, compared to the good old “tree wood” of the sample here.

Of course, there’s a choice of caliber also. The review gun is in .22 cal, but you can specify .177 or .25 caliber instead.

Barrels are manufactured by CZ and are un-choked. That should be good news for shooting both pellets and slugs.

Basic specifications of the TWO are a sidelever, magazine-fed PCP with a regulated action and shrouded barrel. The review gun was supplied complete with the company’s own silencer, plus we have mounted a new Hawke Frontier 30 FFP riflescope for sighting.

As is clear, “our” TWO has the shortest – 300 mm – barrel, combined with the compact HPA tube. This produces an immediate feeling of superb handling and “shootability” for the TWO.

In addition, the action is very short and compact. The sidelever is set to the right, but can be changed for left-handed operation.

Then there’s that fantastic walnut stock!!!!

It’s manufactured by Klinsky. As with CZ and Epic Airguns, it’s another company based in the Czech Republic. So this really is an all-Czech air rifle.

Superb grain is to be seen everywhere, as is the perfectly-executed stippling. There’s gorgeous tiger-striping too, although that’s tough to photograph well.

More benefits are the adjustable cheekpiece and variable length of pull. The rubber buttpad is adjustable for elevation and cant, too.

Plus, you can still smell the oiled finish that had been applied to the walnut. This is the first airgun I can recall where I actually loved the smell of it, too!

That odd thing shown in the photograph below is actually the regulator adjustment control. It’s operated by a special key that’s supplied with the gun.

Interestingly, the gun here has a tiny HPA capacity of just 90 cc. This is combined with a 70 cc plenum, however, and a 300 bar (4,350 PSI) fill pressure. We’ll certainly be testing for shot count!

Epic Airguns are handled in the USA by EdgunWest. I’d like to thank Brian Meckler of the company for sending us this gun to review.

What a beauty! Can't wait to hear the shot count with the small air reservoir. Looking forward to your further testing.

Now that at another place said weight was 3200 grams / 7 pounds

So that wood weighs less?

I like how this gun looks a lot, for the one I would want it’s listed @ $2250.

Probably not going to happen for me especially compared to other Czech Airguns with CZ barrels for less than $1500 and is similarly configured. 😉

Lol and let's be real the AA S510 probably kicks the $&!+ out of it ( I'd back that up all day) for almost half the coin, unreal price. The gun has a ton of competition too, Fx DRS, S510, Revere, etc and they all more affordable. That buttstock though....😍

That pistol grip looks thin to. Maybe prone to snap if Jared just right / bitterfingets or just a weird accident thing . Then what's a replacement stock from them ? $600+ ?
