Help me decide please 🙏 (Leishy 2 .177)

So ever since last week I hunted with the now returned .177 BRK RANGER because of the floppy side lever I’ve fallen in love with the .177 as a ground squirrel slaying caliber. Now I’m obsessed with the idea of getting a compact Edgun Leshiy 2 in .177 with a 350cc tank and running it at 15 fpe for a high shot count (80+) semi auto ground squirrel slaying machine possibly with a red dot.
Now there’s no free lunch so something has to give. I’ll be getting funds from the return on the Ranger .177 but that leaves the .22 ranger on the chopping block because I’ll need more $$. I’m contemplating selling the ranger .22 to get the funds for the .177 L2.
Once you go semi auto it’s really silly to use a side lever IMO lol. Follow up shots are effortless. Anyway let me know what y’all think. I’m probably going to do it but I want to hear thoughts .

Silly to use a side lever? Sell the .22 Ranger XR, some lucky gal or guy will get a solid gun. And you can buy your L2. As for “follow up” shots on critters? They, quick second shots, shouldn’t be the reason you send the first shot. Going out to put that sweet red dot you sold me, back on the Atomic and play with the silly side lever. Just funning you, looking forward to your impressions on your .177 L2

Did they tell you what was wrong with the side lever issue on the little Brk at least Mike? I have pested mostly with .177 until last year and am now solidly hooked on .22 pcps. (But I still break out the .177 TX for the small birds occasionally!) Personally I found 18fpe absolutely deadly in .177.... I took some seriously large critters with one shot; bird, squirrel, skunk, cat (long story) sending 11/12 grain pellets @ 900fps plus. Semi auto definitely would be cool but I'm still high on side levers Cool them Horses!

I compared the magnets on the .177 and the .22. The 177 magnet was recessed too far into the hole vs the .22 which was flush. I don’t know how that can be fixed. I just told them this and they started a return

If? As opposed to when…? You have gone through a bunch of guns, so if you do eventually list the L2s? You can be the lord of whatever PCPs you get next… But let’s get back to the sweet L2s what is the OAL of the 9mm L2? Shot count, FPS, FPE, etc.? She is going to be a pricey lass to feed…
