Ghost Ghost Hp SLUG BARREL!!!!!

Ok now I am on my computer and I can type stuff out now.

Those groups are all 10 shots from the magazine. The only round that I had issues with was the 38 grain Hollow Ogive slugs. They were hanging on the magazine and wouldn't allow the carriage to spin. I am going to measure the overall length and compare them to the others. If I need I can put them back into the press and close them up a bit more and try again.

I am wanting to stay around the 150-160 BAR mark on the regulator, as I don't want to stress the system to much. So I am happy to see the 40 grain slugs moving fast enough on the lower settings. And the standard deviations are quite low as well. Though I do think the rifle would be able to get them down lower.

I do think that the barrel is showing promise FINALLY! I ended up removing the tensioner and putting back on the original shroud. Did testing with just the shroud and then tested with the Impulse Air 1350.

Good results so far! Those regs are some of the strongest out there, and don't mind running hot.... If you dont have too i wouldn't, but I'd be completely ok running mine 165-175B without issue. (Mine came @165B and I ran it for over a year on that)
The 4 shots off too the right side on the 50Y groups were they the first or the last shots on that group?

That was the group with and without the Impulse Air 1350.

Two different groups shot around the same bull. Wanted to see how the groups move with the addition of the 1350.

Glad you added them Pesty! It shows, well to me at least, that the results are repeatable!

I am going to make some more slugs around the 40 grains to see if I can't really dial in the slugs.

Ok went to Rio for their 75 and 100 yard Bench Rest today.

Here is my 75 yard card, taking 1st.



Between cards I continued to tune the rifle.....I had about a 20 FPS ES which I know isn't good.

Here is my 100 yard card with the sighter blocks in the middle. Took 1st again. This time I had an ES of 8 and the rifle sounded "Happier"

487 out of 500 with 14 X's. There is no 'Plugging to 30" at the local match, so a true score for the 22 cal.



This barrel is doing great!!!!!

Thanks for the iid on the slugs Tony! I didn’t get quite as good results but i had the 5.50 it was all i could get at the time.
