Following is one of my two videos I have made today. My experience is very convincing by making solid barrel out of FX liner and keeping most of the barrel free from any effect of O rings.

This is for those who experience POI shift in Impact.

Here is the video.

Very cool man! So you use stock FX thin barrel, you slide stainless pipe over it. Machine it down, and get similar results to a solid barrel, very handy! My Brk ghost has a fairly solid barrel and uses o-rings in the block to help hold it in place as well, quite similar. So you have deleted o-rings and just machined it fairly close to block hole thickness? Also are you shooting just pellets out of that barrel or some slugs to?

I mostly shoot pellets. The O rings gripping the barrel causes POI shift. I keep standard dia only in that part of barrel which goes inside the rear block, and that part of barrel which remains exposed and to which the barrel holder holds. Rest of the dia of the barrel is reduced and O rings removed to isolate the barrel from other parts of the gun.

FX calls their inserts 'liners', albeit they are barrels. I do have their carbon fiber tensioning system on my Impact MkIII, and I can't imagine this 'sleeve' giving better accuracy. Thus, I'd like to see some actual, side-by-side shot target results.

My system is not to provide better accuracy but to fix the known issue of shifting of POI in FX Impact guns.

When I bought my Mk III, the tensioned barrel system wasn't available. I did buy the updated barrel support system, but neither stock or the newer barrel support system ever showed signs of POI. This said, if you store your Impact in such a way, that the barrel is part of the support system, then I'd buy a POI shift. I also own a Mk II, and never noticed any POI shift. I've heard about it, but never had it.
