Avenge-X Congratulations Air Venturi Avenge-X

Except for Kirsten Joy Weiss or SHE, I don't see too many Women shooters on YT or read of the results of the various competitions. Maybe on GTA once in a while. You'd think there would be reporter for the various leagues/disciplines.
Other than some of the NRA publications, I don't see much publishing of results. Maybe some of the organizers can change this, and post results here?

I wasn't talking about women shooters. Women have always been good shots. Annie Oaklley, and the sinper with the most confirmed kills is a Russian woman. To point out gender, I believe, is just as insulting as pointing out race. I was talking about a mass produced "china-gun," again an insulting term that some like to use, winning against top tier(expensive) western airguns. Airgun forums on the internet have been talking about this happening at some point since people started tinkering on their guns, and the price-point-pcp showed up. It happened, and mostly crickets. The real competition is for people's money, and this win just complicated that.

Wow I was sure I commented on this but apparently not, first off congrats to Ana on the win! I personally love it when an underdog wins (gun not shooter🤭) A woman winning is nothing new, an Avenge-x winning is! But I believe if u have something decent enough and practice alot with it you probably have a 'shot' at winning! Buuuut I see no Air Arms or Brks listed so it's a believable story 🤣

I'm not going to be posting much, if at all, anymore. The spirit of adventure, discovery and fun, in airgunnng, has dried up for me, in a public sense. These forums use to be about people doing and trying things and have devolved into grassroots marketing departments for different (expensive) brands. Somebody has to to do it, I guess, but it's not going to be me. Trying to have conversations, in print, is really annoying too. Everybody who doesn't have perfect diction, misplaces a comma, causes or gets grief, or is misconstrued.

What I still don't understand is why didn't Air Venturi hit these forums (via Tyler Patner) and really talk this story up?

I love shooting, and airgunning is relaxing, quiet, shooting. That is, of course, because I don't compete, or try to make money from it, then it would becomes like every other pursuit in life, and not the hobby I go to for escape.

I hear your thoughts sir. The competition side of things is not for me either. The money spent on some of the rigs is wild, and the added stress is not why I'm into air gunning either. But I sure do love reading about it, and seeing the pictures, etc! I very much disagree on where you think this (and other?) forums are going. Have you seen my Slavia 630 post, TX stock redo? Lorens custom stocks on Zeus guns? Wizard714 with his Avenger build? The list goes on, lots of custom work, modding, testing etc. Whatever the case we all leave eventually, and wishing you all the best👍 As a forum they definitely need to keep up with the latest (and sometimes greatest) stuff coming to market to stay current.

Agree with you brother. Unfortunately it’s business for the big players and since Covid it’s skyrocketed. Unfortunately it’s not as low key anymore.

Maybe AV is planning a big announcement? If they don’t I’d be surprised or they’re paid to stay quiet by the FX Mafia? lol

I’m not a competitive shooter at all myself I enjoy the quiet relaxing side of air guns as well. I like the new stuff I’m just super picky

Grass roots marketing department, totally sums it up. Thanks brother. 👍

Nothing more to be said, I've already had my warning, message was clear.

Bye bye, and good luck to all
