I haven’t shot this rifle in over 6 months. She still hold air and the reg is where it was when I oiled the rifle and put her up with the reservoir at about 150 bar.


And the next group I shot as the photos uploaded.

I really enjoy and appreciate the consistency and the dependability of this air rifle.

@Solo1 Well I don’t feel like I suck. I don’t shoot some other rifles as well, but to be able to shoot a couple rifles well and print groups like that reassures me that I haven’t lost it completely. I seriously haven’t touched this rifle since last year.

I think the form factor of this rifle fits my build. The LOP is great for me. I appreciate the robustness, build quality, reliability, and my understanding of the rifle. I have a little history with this one. It feels great to know you can go grab a gun and shoot without doing a thing to it besides topping off the reservoir and loading a magazine.

I miss both my XRs. Totaly reliable in every way. I do have a Ghost so that makes up for it... somewhat. The pests do not miss them though!

@Pesty3782 Yup. I wasn’t a fan of the bolt at first, but it’s grown on me. I actually purchased this and another rifle as gifts for my father. He didn’t want either one. So it’s been with me since.

Good groups for just getting out with it! What pellets were you using, all one kind or some different ones? I guess Brk has been running those gauges for a while, my Ghost had those exact ones. Also were it's first two shots the high ones on the top left target?

What was the distance to targets and what projectiles? I was hitting some rat head size pieces of chalk at 40 yards with my Atomic XR with Zulus atop tonight. The hits inspire high confidence pesting in me. I find my Brocock/BRKs therapeutic night and day. Mine have simply been solid field PCPs…

@hameditor That’s funny. I had somewhat of a rough day. Shooting that rifle towards the end of it helped me to feel better, hence the thread title.

Definitely appropriate for me. The whole reason for me getting back so heavy into airguns is for the distraction. I’ve never considered naming a gun, but I just might start calling the Sonoran “Freud”

Whenever I have a bad day with the springers, like yesterday in that brutal humidity, I have to break out my sniper to prove to myself that I can still shoot. It never disappoints.
