Hey y'all, an easy question. What is your opinion of the Benj Marauder? BTW, it is the most accurate rifle I have at present. and that includes a HW100.

Not a bad platform to start with. It's a tried and true design with plenty of information online concerning the platform. It also has decent parts availability. I think Benjamin would sell more if they at least upgraded them to incorporating a side lever. You can effectively plink, target shoot, and hunt with a Marauder.

Gen 1 marauders are going obsolete, the air cylinder isn’t available anymore and if you have corrosion at the gauge block, there will be difficulty sealing it. The Gen 2 in 25 caliber, early models have a green mountain barrel and can be quite accurate with JSB pellets, mine is good to 100 yds for plinking, and at current used prices is a low priced gem. Doesn’t have a high shot count, but is well supported in aftermarket. An Internet search gives info on finding GM barrel models by serial range (date) or by barrel inspection.

I agree dollar for dollar I think it is the best deal out there but I have shot mine beyond 50 yds and I don't know if it has a GM barrel. I have attached 50 yd target. It is a .25 caliber and was planning to replace it with the Revere. I am glad it did not sell on eBay.50 yd Marauder.webp

@ernroe When did you buy your Marauder? Are you the first owner? Which projectiles did you shoot at the pictured target?

I bought it from a friend that upgraded to AA S510. He bought it new in 20/21 and I have owned it a year.
The Model :BP2564 SN: 522120694 I was shooting JSB King 25.39gr at target.

The age of the rifle is in the first 3 digits of serial number. The 522 indicates that it was built in May of 2022. Green mountain barrels have a distinctive crown, 10 lands and were in rifles 2017 and earlier afaik…
On a good, low/no wind day I can put 8 of 8 on a 2 inch gong at 100 yds, it is a keeper.

The guys been around and sells so if any bad I'd think like these forums would warn you if a bad seller or not . Anyway that open box to me don't look bad . If nervous go that cheaper one in referbed ..
Is the lw barrel worth the extra over the crosman ?

Seems he sold a lot of the krackhouse and cayfans guns so ???
