Ghost Barrel tensioning kit

I just installed the barrel tensioning kit on my ghost 23 inch barrel,accuracy I do notice a bit improvement, but that could just be me, what I did notice its a lot louder with the same moderator.

I put one on my Ghost .22 cal. HP, also with a 23in. barrel and mine was a whole lot louder as well but mine actually shot worse with it on.
Is your Ghost a .22 HP also?

They are definitely louder! my .25 call did show improvement on accuracy though.

I am very much of the opinion that the tensioning kit is a waste of time/$$ on the 23in Ghost barrel. Even the reviewers, when it came out, have said they noticed no improvements on the 23, makes sense for the 28inch barrel though.
It pulls tension on that little barrel set screw if I am correct...that is a hard no to me! Did not know it kills the sound suppression also...double ouch

Agreed I might go back and put it back the way it was and leave it alone

Ive never tried 1 but I think anyone who has one needs to remember it is tuning harmonics therefore you need to adjust the tension to find a sweet spot. Also you would need to do this on a very calm day as results will most likely be very small like from 3/4” group to 1/2” or 1 inch to 3/4”.

I should mention too loose the gorilla hand on the barrel screw when playing with tensioner or anytime for that matter you could push a dent into the barrel

Try them and see if you like them. I did see some improvement on the shorter barrels, but honestly with the 28 inch slug barrel I saw worse accuracy! Depends on the barrel and the set up, but that is also half the fun with these rifles.
