Thanks for the suggestion. My phone already have DNT enabled for Local Network. Brawler1588 confirmed that my Zulus internal is older thus not compatible with DNT app at this time.I had the same problem at first and it took a while for me to figure it out. On my apple phone I had to go to settings then open Privacy & Security Then open Local Network and turn ON the switch for DNT then one step back to settings and open Bluetooth and turn ON the DNT switch Then go back one step to settings and scroll down to DNT open it and make sure the Bluetooth, Local Network and Cellular Data switches are turned ON. Then it should work when you turn on Wi-Fi in the scope view screen and go to Wi-Fi on your phone when the Wi-Fi network for the scope comes up it comes up ZHD520R, tap on it and enter the code 12345678 that you can see on the scope screen. At that point it should link to your phone and you can go back to the DNT app and tap on the ZHD520R scope picture at the bottom and it will link the app to the scope and make the update available to run and install. Before you do all of that you might want to go to Zero Scope and get your x and y settings and write them down so after you do the update you can re-enter those settings and not have to recenter your scope.
That's how it use to be. When you move over to the DNT app and the DNT Firmware you unlock inscope ballistics. It is now recommended to not use Bluetooth for a few reasons first being you can only send 1 ballistic profile over at a time while the wifi or in scope will allow 5, the second reason is the inscope/wifi transfer uses the gyroscope for accurate angle data for inclination. If anyone has any questions about anything DNT please feel free to reach out to me.To link your phone to the scope so you can load all of the data about your ammo zero distance, ammo weight, speed, etc. and ballistic data into the scope and sync them. That is how you get the bullet drop compensator to work with the range finder to show you where to aim for the distance where you are now rather than where it is zeroed for.
I do that with Wi fi.To link your phone to the scope so you can load all of the data about your ammo zero distance, ammo weight, speed, etc. and ballistic data into the scope and sync them. That is how you get the bullet drop compensator to work with the range finder to show you where to aim for the distance where you are now rather than where it is zeroed for.
Here is a article on the website but if anyone needs help message me here or at matt@dntoptics.com and I will help you get sorted.Sorry, I have only transferred with my phone once since the change so I see that I have gotten confused about it and I have had trouble figuring out how to store the 5 different profiles. I have not seen any instructions about it.
Sorry to hear this going to forward this to the team so we can brainstorm.@Brawler1588 or @Chief55
I’ve had lots of problems trying to use the app for zeroing the scope. I could only get it to work once after that, I could not use the app to adjust zero.
Turn on Wi-Fi both scope and phone connected
I can see the target on the phone
Made shot
Freeze frame
Touching reticle will change the reticle style
Finger will not drag reticle
Reset button does nothing
Touching X or Y does nothing
When using zeroing on the app, it shows me the target the first time I zeroed not the current target
I disconnected the Wi-Fi reconnected same issue
I restored the factory default, same issue
I turned everything off and on, same issue
Zeroing the scope using the scope works
iPhone
Any help would be appreciated.
That app makes it look like a cakewalk, I guess it is if it works.I have only zeroed it using the buttons on the scope. Never have tried to do it using the app.
I also prefer to do it in scope, I have heard if this before on a specific iPhone not all but the user decided to use a different phone and it worked perfectly fine. But I will bring it up again. That app makes it look like a cakewalk, I guess it is if it works.
