EVOL Anyone else having trouble contacting Tom?

I messaged him a few weeks ago asking him a wuestion about a right handed block to replace the lefty one on my 15” 22 evol. He emailed me back immediately asking for pictures, and that he might have something in the shop when he gets back to look.

That was the last I heard of him. I’ve messaged him multiple times since then, and it’s been crickets.

No I know he’s been on the site, because there’s time stamps when you visit the site, but I can’t tell whether or not he’s read my messages. A bit disheartening to say the least. Especially after my comments I made about him forgetting about his current customer base (maybe that’s why he’s ignoring me). Anyway, just wondering if anyone else had tried contacting him, and if he has messaged back.

the dosnt sound to me out of the norm I know he is supper swamped trying to get guns out in action to everthing else.
I would just keep dropping him a message for time to the and I would bet when he gets a chance he will reply.

Have you tried reaching out via AoA? They are the retail front and support for the AAA product line so maybe they can assist.

AOA wasn’t even able to give me an eta or a call back on some gauges I tried to order for my mini. They’re as much in the dark as we are!

Being out of commission is not the point. A simple, sorry, I’m a little busy right now message would suffice. At least I wouldn’t feel like I’m being ignored. He has time to visit this site. It’s time stamps show it, so obviously he knows he has messages unread, and would take seconds to read.

Understood, but it seems you may be taking it personally… Not sure what the “point” of the OP is, it’s understood that Tom is a small business compared to the other behemoths in the business. So why rag him…? You like his product, is it working to your expectations? If so, a question about going to a left handed block for your Evol is but a small matter at the moment… The man has a business to run… Small businesses are the backbone of this country … He is trying to pump out a new and better evolved product, so should retrofitting “your” Evol be on the top of his to do list?

At this point it should be well known that Tom will be slow to respond a lot of the time. He said he’d respond when he gets back to look. How do you know he made it back or had time to respond to your query? With knowledge of the company’s customer service track record it is upon the individual to spend their money how they see fit. Me? I have one Evol. That’s enough. It’s not the only airgun that can shoot accurately and to my satisfaction. What’s remarkable about this situation is that you, @Madeintheuk, went looking for Evols knowing what was going on with the AAA, SubMOA, a shortage of AAA tools, and the various posts and threads detailing the experience of others with AAA airguns; the Slayer posts were quite telling across two forums. Yet you seem to have missed the cues. This one is on you. I’m tired of reading your whiny posts and post titles. It’s like you’re crying and it’s getting old Edward. Consider moving on to something else in the interim until you can get your Evol situated.

okay as mention we all know Tom can be slow and even at time difficult to get ahold of we all know he is a very very small shop. I am not going to make any excuse for him that is his deal to handle but!

However, the uk comments were uncalled for. I love my country (America), and would t dream of leaving. Being born somewhere else doesn’t mean I’m unamerican. This country was founded in its immigrants. Let’s not forget that.

@Madeintheuk I usually check with people periodically. I have a custom order in with someone and they told me they were waiting on some materials. I told them I’m in no rush. I check about once a month, but this guy does this sort of work as one of his side gigs. Trust me, I get your frustration.

I don't know why every time there is an issue regarding particular members , the amount of money they spend on their rifles is brought up as if it is pertinent? it isn't. In fact when you spend "bigly" part of that spending you do expect customer support so I understand the frustration that started this thread. Also , when the source of the comments made are coming from particular people who have been HANDED the product they "endorse" , the comments kind of null and void. Just my very small 2 cents.
