EVOL American Air Arms EVOL Paradigm Mini

A shorter option would be great! or just the option for a wooden stock on the Evol mini. The major difference between the Evol and the Paradim is mainly the trigger I believe. Other than that everything is basically the same.
Actually, I believe the trigger is the same but the safety is positioned on the front side of it. I am thinking about moving the safety lever to in front of the trigger, like where the one on the Marauder is. I would just have to create a slot in the trigger guard and fabricate the lever. This would also make taking the action out of the stock a one screw affair. Something to do this winter maybe.

There is something more than the safety I belive. I was talking with Tom a while back about possibly putting a Remington 700 trigger in one rifle. That led us to talking about the trigger differences, as well as an option to swap out stocks.

Was told neither will work due to them being different. Again if I am remembering correctly.

With Tom watching the threads I am sure he will chime in.

I have replaced Rem 700 triggers before with Timney's and those triggers don't seem, to me, to have anything on the Paradigm's. Tom's trigger is really nice! I was just looking at the whole setup and changing the lever to actuate the safety doesn't look like that big of a deal to me. Tedious perhaps, but doable. I just prefer it there.

That’s right, I said Paradigm Mini.

Alright, alright, so this isn’t real. Which is probably evident by my amateur photo cropping. But it ought to be real. IMHO of course.

All the higher end subcompact carbines are all black tackycool style rifles and while they may work just fine, they’re too utilitarian to me and aren’t very sexy. Again IMHO of course. The EVOL Mini is the ideal size and I liked that about it when I checked one out at Airguns of Arizona a few months ago but I’m just not that into the all black tackycool rifles that much. Especially at this price point. The Paradigm on the other hand is sexy as he!!. But it’s just too long for my personal tastes. I like my gals short and petite. We need to blend short and compact with the beauty and sex appeal and I’m convinced that the airgun world needs some high quality subcompact wooden stock air rifle options.

I don’t think this would be too hard to do either. I assume a Mini tube and barrel can be put on a Paradigm with little issue so it’s just a matter of a stock. And I’m sure a professional like Steve Corcoran could make the stock easily enough. The forearm just needs shortened and do away with the recessed rail in the bottom. Maybe make it a little slimmer and rounder instead of flat. It wouldn’t be a bench gun anyhow. Personally I think this would be an an awesome offering and I’d buy one tomorrow if it were available. I’d go with a walnut stock.

So let’s hear it. Would anyone else besides me buy this if it were available?

yes all for a higher end carbine for stalking. I love my crosman woods walker for small game and my 1720T. trhis sound like a great addition.

I’m hoping for a .177 version to put in play for Field Target. With a 15” or 18” barrel length with the lightness and smoothness of Tom’s trigger, it would be a fantastic platform for the field target community.
Have thought the same thing. Critical for a small business to thoroughly vet any new introduction for economic viability; no idea if this would pass muster (& Tom has a lot of new irons in the fire already). What I don't question is that it would be competitive with anything on the market.

I got to meet Tom at EBR this year. Was very excited about that. He is one awesome person and his knowledge level is incredible!! His EVOLS are as close to holding the real thing as I have ever seen. I for one am very excited to support him in the future. I've traveled to a lot of FT GP contests this year and get asked about the EVOL in .177. The Hunter Class numbers are crazy at the GP's as compared to the other classes. I fully believe if you could get a .177 version with a 15-18" barrel in the Paradiam stock which would also allow the Open class shooters to put a knee riser and different butt hook on it to shoot it and keep it in the price range at or below a Red Wolf, I think you would have a hard time keeping up with the demand.

Seems like FT shooters change guns like socks, looking for the next best thing. I believe they would stop looking once you shoot an EVOL!! Just my $.02.
