Lest see what you guys are up to.....

First kill with the Dawson 25 cal Rapid! Now it was only 20 yards, but a hades to the dome stopped this bunny in its tracks. Have been seeing them eating the bark on my apple tree. Neighbors have been complaining about them as well. Finally spotted two of them in the yard when I got home. I found them both tucked away in a corner of the yard, one spooked and hopped a few feet away, and this one froze. I popped this guy at 20 yards and looked for the other. Figuring he was gone I got up and went over to collect the prize, and of course I heard the other scurry away!

Oh well he will be back.

TX first hunt/kill! Well I stated my .177 TX200 would be more of a bench gun buuuuut you know me ....1st: man is it nice offhand!! 2nd: The .22 S510 is getting a 2 month nap in its case to test if the first shot will in fact be low on chrono and have a lower poi. (I'm guessing no!) Was having breakfast and 3 squirrels ran by the window in about a minute. 1 or 2 gets a pass but 3? Infestation!! 20 yards was no issue for it.

Body shot or head shot? Can't tell by the photo

Yeah I flipped him so less blood in the pic. It was a body shot near vitals/shoulder. He scooted up the trunk and I hit him again same spot and he dropped instantly! It was not my first choice as a hunting gun bc vs a traditional break barrel it is a little slower to load if second shot needed but It actually was fast! I end up hunting with all my guns. That literally is to me the ultimate test. I have to get some more solid chrono numbers but it hits just above 15 ft lbs I believe. Under 12fp head shots only on fury critters.

Nice squirrel man. Now all you need is some potatoes, carrots, and onions, and broth and you've got a very nice meal. Good shooting brother!

Oddly enough I'm eating a rabbit I shot last year tonight! He was chewing up some fruit trees at my brother in laws. He butchered it and gave me half. Squirrel I have never tried though!?
I favor rabbit over squirrel as I think squirrel is a little more greasy tasting if you know what I mean? It's a different flavor but let us know how you like it.

Was target shooting with my Brocock Bantam Sniper HR .25 the other day and the squirrels were going nuts barking in the woods.

A few started stirring and running through the trees around me after about an hour or so into my practice time. I was testing some JSB KO MKII and tried taking one at 25 yards and missed clean with both shots. By the time I got back to shooting FX 34 grain pellets this guy showed up about 30 yards out and I caught him after pausing in a limb. I sent one through the neck and out through its head for a one shot, toe hanger, hit the ground, 5-7 second death flop. I took the rifle off of the tripod to take the shot from a kneeling position.

Close-up of entrance wound. Neck or high shoulder area, you be the judge.

Close-up of exit wound area. I really wasn’t sure where it came out on its head. By the reaction to the shot, the pellet obviously clipped its brain. I just wanted to skin and gut it before sunset.

@FL22 Not the shovel for a tree (gray) squirrel. 😂😂 Are you afraid to touch it? I take it that you won't be eating that guy. You can grab it by the tail and pick it up. It won't hurt you.
No, I just used it to prop it up. I’ve had some smother fried squirrel with rice. It was the first kill with that pellet rifle two weeks ago. Here’s a photo from my other first kill with my Origin. IMG_1169.webp
