Ghost Recommended reg pressures for different calibers

Ghost HP in .22? Maybe this will help.... I've been playing with a Ghost HP in .22 for a couple months. Came with a factory reg pressure of 165bar and the 0.051-0.052" wire spring. (I forget the color right now but maybe green?) With that spring and that reg pressure it was capable of...

Ghost Recommended reg pressures for different calibers

Just an example..... For a .22/18 from a Ghost Plus, a reg pressure of 110-130 is likely going to be about right for the typical 880-920fps range that's appropriate for that pellet. But that same .22/18 with reg pressure of 110-130 from a Ghost HP is likely going to be too fast for that...

Ghost Recommended reg pressures for different calibers

I've not seen anything official from Daystate/BRK that would constitute starting points for Ghost settings. And I suspect the reason why is because there are so many variables. As an example, 22 pellets can go from 13.43 all the way up to 34grains, and that's just the good stuff. Start...

    Ghost Changed my gauges today

Lots of talk about gauge orientation was made on Facebook Ghost Owners groups. Seems air gunning generally attracts the OCD types, and I am too, but I personally value a non-leaker over gauge orientation. Whatever orientation equals snug and non-leaking is correct to me.

    Ghost Ghost HP Regulator Creep

Your 22 shot string has an extreme spread of 5.9fps (that is good, much tighter than necessary for just about any type of shooting). If that includes the first cold shot you most definitely do not have a first/cold shot being slow problem.

    Ghost Ghost HP Regulator Creep

Couple thoughts (many already noted in previous comments)... New guns "settle in" or rather they break in as parts mesh and seals and springs settle. Could be that. The OEM gauges are functional, but they're not great. Could even be some gauge break-in, wearing into how theyre gonna read for...

Ghost BRK GHOST performance centre spring upgrade kit

As Solo1 says, the wire diameter is a good measure to go by. The 0.051-0.052" wire diameter is what I've seen installed in the Ghost HP in .22. Dunno what color that one is but it'll do 60fpe in .22 with a 23" barrel. And the 0.046-0.048" wire spring is the one that comes in the .177 Carbine...

Ghost Any word on 👻slug barrel?

That's a trend I've seen as well. Last count was around 40 barrels that I've tried slugs out of, most of them .22s but some .177s and .20s in the mix. And in only two instances has a slug/barrel combo been better than pellets. Even the blasted .22 MRDs with their cursed flyers....I've got 4...

    Field Target Butt pad position?

I prefer to shift the buttpad DOWN, usually to the max allowed, and often I'd prefer more. For my anatomy this shifts the rest of the gun up, helping in sight alignment and overall not making me feel all crunched up like a cat puking up hairballs. I don't feel like I have a long neck, but I...

    .22 Where are the .22/20.83?

@JSB/Predator Official Where they at? Mid March was over a month ago. Just checked the big online retailers and not even a listing for them to preorder. Nada, nuffin, zilch. https://hardairmagazine.com/news/exclusive-announcement-new-jsb-jumbo-monster-light-pellets-coming-soon/

Ghost What don’t you like about the 👻?

"Right side drive"? You meaning cocking lever on the right? Cuz that can be swapped over to the left side.....

Ghost What don’t you like about the 👻?

For a guy not interested in tuning, and content to just shoot the same pellet at the same speed all the time, accepting whatever accuracy that provides, I have to agree that the EVOL is a better choice than the Ghost. The EVOLs niche in the market is that it is one of few airguns built to...

Ghost Any word on 👻slug barrel?

Not entirely a bad thing, even for slugs. My best barrels (slugs or pellets) have light chokes.

    Aafta going crazy?

First off, field target is my favorite type of airgun competition. Lots and lots of amazing people compete in ft. One issue is the weasely types who spend more time looking for loopholes to exploit than they do shooting or practicing. Another issue is people lobbying for rule changes to make...

Ghost Home made ghetto bag rider

Looks fine to me. Paint it black and/or wrap it with carbon fiber-looking vinyl and nobody will know that it's wood.

    Aafta going crazy?

It's AAFTA catering to the 5-10% of American Field Target shooters that are interested in WFTF Worlds. No personal take on that, just basing that percentage on the 50ish field target competitors that I personally know that even occasionally attend matches at the 3 clubs I attend. Of those 50, I...

    Ghost .25cal Ghost tuning question

As @Solo1 says, de cocking is 100% doable. Caveat is that if you're using the magazine, cocking it again to shoot it will result in a sweet little double feed, a two-fer-one shot if you will. And it won't be a two-birds-with-one-stone (er pellet) situation. Ie neither will go where you want it to.

    Ghost BRK Ghost Review

The .22 MRDs were shot for a couple of Ultimate Field Target matches last winter season. At targets out to 100 yards, the .177 isn't an option. Generally, yes the .22 MRD is JSBs worst offering, when consistency and accuracy are the metric. But for some unknown reason, they shot fairly well...
